The Movies On Demand MOD December preview has arrived. Awards season has officially begun with the announcement of the Golden Globe nominations on December 15. 2011. January 2012’s Movies On Demand MOD schedule on cable includes several of the just-nominated films, including MONEYBALL premiering Jan. 10, 50/50 premiering Jan. 24, THE IDES OF MARCH premiering Jan. 17, THE GUARD Jan. 3 and Drive premiering Jan. 31. All come to cable the same day as DVD. In addition, some notable nominees are now playing and available throughout January on cable’s Movies On Demand including: MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, BEGINNERS, THE HELP, BRIDESMAIDS, CRAZY, STUPID, LOVE and WINNIE THE POOH.

Almost every major studio premiere on the schedule comes to cable the same day as its DVD release and many before Netflix and Redbox.
