Sunny Anderson - Cooking for Real
Food Network On Demand
Comfy Cozy and not so costly?!?! Two chicken breasts to feed six people? (Leftovers people. Leftovers). Who is this Sunny Andersen from the Food Network On Demand? I'm shamed to say I only watch the "stars" of the faux kitchen.
Sunny Anderson seems to be a new kid on the butcher block.Heh heh. She is presenting me with her grandmother's pound cake with apples and nuts. I contemplate but decide not for me as it's ingredient heavy (think of this Grandma Cake as something you'd make to get a raise). Chicken casserole next!
We've boiled some chicken so it looks about as delicious as..boiled chicken. Wild rice. Uncle Ben does that. Onion. I have one of those. Mushrooms to the side for later. Cinnamon?? She tells me to trust her but I'm scared. Heavy Cream and cheese? She's reeling me back in. I think she's Paula's chocolate niece though when we get to half a stick of butter.
Cranberries and brown sugar for the top of the Wild Rice Boiled Chicken casserole? I'm fading fast and thinking I should default to my mother's macaroni and cheese. She's mixing this together and it looks like dessert!
Sorry, Sunny. I know you said trust you and I'm trying to. Flavor galore, she says as she shoves a pile of it in her mouth. This dish doesn't look so romantic but it does look like you can work it out with the leftovers. I'd like to be a bit more Top Chef than this. Am I saying this?
